Daimler SP250 Gets Its Due

I’ve been fascinated by the Daimler ever since first seeing one a few years back at British car show. If you’re a horsepower kind of guy (I am) and appreciate seeing V8 power in British sports cars, the Daimler is right down your alley. While the body design may be a bit of an acquired taste for some (I happen to like it), for me the greater part of the Daimler story is the ingenuity of using an off-the shelf chassis (TR3), mating it to a hemi-V8, and then wrapping it in bespoke bodywork. Brilliant!

The Daimler is one of those cars that I am constantly asked about drawing but have—until now—always had something with a higher priority on my drawing board. Thanks to some gentle prodding from Walt Jeffords, the SP250 illustration is in full swing. When completed, I will be able to offer artwork for all years in any of the factory exterior and interior colors including a full range of wheel choices and other options.

I’l be offering the Damiler artwork in both the archival paper and brushed aluminum prints in sizes 12″ x 24″ or 18″ x 36″ and 23″ x 47″ or 27″ x 56″ respectively. Prices for the the archival prints will be $145 for the 24″ print and $195 for the 36″ version. Brushed aluminum prints will be $655 or $995 respectively. Shipping is additional for all versions. Look for a pre-press listing going up on the site in the near future.

If you;re interested in acquiring one of these limited edition (only 50 will be pressed) prints, please use the Connect feature to shoot me note and let me know. I’ll be happy to set one aside for you.
