“Well my bags are packed, I’m ready to go…” Headed out to the Amelia Concours happening March 3rd through the 6th at the Ritz-Carlton hotel and Amelia Island Golf Club. I took a year off last year and am really stoked to be going back and bringing with me a couple of new art collections. I’ll be hauling all of the event gear out of the loft over the next few weeks, checking it over, resupplying any of the consumables, making any necessary repairs, then packing it all back up and making it ready for the load out on March 1st.
If the news hasn’t made it to where you are yet, Bill Warner, the originator of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance has sold the event to Hagerty who also purchased and ran the highly successful Greenwich Concours this past October. New owners usually mean changes and, if the remade Greenwich event is any example, I think this year’s Amelia will be something to see.
Hope you can come by and visit my Competition Colors exhibit in the pre-Talbot room at the Ritz-Carlton. Here’s a taste of the concours field from a few year back. There were some absolutely stunning cars on display.
